First Time Swimming Alone With Vest

Our neighbor Melissa- what a Godsend!
suggested I get one of these swim vest suits for Vivienne! WoW! I am so thankful!
It has given Vivie independence - and she can motor around the pool all by herself! This suit is like a miracle vest..within a very short time her first time in with it on she was flappin' around -
I caught this first moment in the video!

Now she just walks the steps down into the pool and doggie paddles around or spins around using her legs. Cool!
of course, one of us is by her in the pool anyway - although after about 15 minutes of practice she was already saying "Vivie do, Out of the pool papa! Out Mama!"

Patient Silhouettes...for that second.
We took a walk down the street hoping to catch the kids at the lemonade stand.
Just missed them so we came home and made our own. This girl likes lemons.

cracks me up!!!!!!
amelie is as quiet as a ghost,
which I guess is a good thing, but come on!
I guess she is trying to make friends?
ya, right.
all in a day's work for her
just watching as the bunny feasts on my flowers
(which are now completely eaten up.)

Rick set up an obstacle course for both the kiddies and adults to enjoy.
Complete with sprinkler and egg balancing race...ha.
I've been telling you, we have the greatest neighbor's!

Now, only if Susan, Brad, Anna and Ella were here, that would complete the street!!!!!
We miss you - How great to have seen you in Pittsburgh!! So when are you coming out?? :)

Just see below how Viv was amused at the course ...not.
little bugger had just woken up.

{In the background is Lorna, another Saint Louis transplant from the East Coast.
Her Husband Dave is a big Steeler fan having been born in West Virginia. They have two children, Ben (3) and Lauren.}

A few seconds too late...I tried to capture all 4 of the little ones poolside sitting together.
This is the action shot after Alaina jumped in!
Alaina and Ruby both swam this week without vests on for the first time during swim lessons! Yea.
We have been missing swim lessons, since Vivi's is usually just waking up and not ready to swim yet.
However, we don't miss the pot-luck dinner after lessons - yum! Last week wings, this week seafood....
This week we will also celebrate Vivienne's birthday again during our Pot-Luck dinner :)

Her animals broke out of the lines! This was their disco party! She had them dancing :)

The animals are good learning tools - explaining what each one eats, where they live...

i can't begin to tell you how much fun we had today with her!
she was non-stop motoring around -talkin', playin', and the giggle machine was on!
